WiFi speed difference

Because of my location att U verse only offers up to 6 megabytes of download speed we're Xfinity offers up to 75 megabytes. I could get there 25 megabytes speed plan for the same price as I'm paying for the 6 megabytes through AT&T.. How is possible?
