Wifi speed drops when Bluetooth is on?

Hi everyone.

I've recently noticed something very strange, and from what I've read on the Web it has to do with htc using the same Antena for wifi and Bluetooth: when the Bluetooth is on (it's always on in my case since I have a smartwatch) the wifi speeds drop from 30mb/s to 1mb/s.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a proper fix?

There can also be potential interference between Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz band wi-fi. If you have access to it, try a 5 GHz wi-fi band, and see if the problem persists.

Thanks for your input. I don't have 5ghz on my router. The weird part is that I have Bluetooth always on for more than a year now, when I bought my Moto 360 Smartwatch, but the problem started a couple of weeks ago. I already restored network settings, to no avail. Maybe it's app related?

Wifi and Bluetooth are on the same frequencies. This has been an issue from the beginning of time. There isn't much you can do about it.

I just understand that but I only started noticing this problem a while ago. Other htc one m8 users from other forums tried using wifi with Bluetooth on and found no problems whatsoever. That's the strange part.

Try logging into the router settings and change the wi-fi channel.

Also, see if your router's firmware is fully up to date.

Thanks but I did that already. It is happening with every router, not just mine.

I did a factory reset and it solved the issue... For a couple of weeks, now the problem is back!
Is there any fix for this? I believe it has to do with Android Wear, but I'm not sure.
