wifi tether

I have a rooted evo v and "use the app wifi tether. It will not allow me to connect other devices. What might I do to correct this?

I'm running the latest mobster rom and had to try a few things before I got it to work... First try using a generic ics/jb profile and enable mss clamping and routing fix under settings. If that doesn't work then try the EVO 3D profile and change the setup to ad-hoc (not auto or softap). If that doesn't work then cry.
