Wifi tether

Help my asus transformer cant find my wireless teather and dont know why i am using my optimus s the transformer can't even see it under wireless networks at all so i am really kinda lost, my ipod touch and before i sold my ipad those both worked fine and my laptop as well so i am really kinda confused.

sorry i was driving while i was posting i have the brand new tf just got it today haven't got the 3.1 either, i have the optimus s rooted and running wireless teather i have also used barnicle and the transformer cannot see it as a wireless network at all. So i downloaded wifi hotspot widget and it worked fine however it is way way way slow not even worth it, it would be faster for me to go home and search something!! i am not sure if it has something to do with adhoc or something or not but i don't believe so and i have used it for month on ipod touch and ipad before i sold that.

Mine tether just fine to the nexus 1.
Is the Optimus hot spot Adhoc?

Theres a hack at xda to allow adhoc to work with the TF
