wifi turns on all by itself

My WiFi has a mind of its own and just turns on whenever. Every morning its on and I know its off before I go to sleep. Is there a setting I am missing or something?

Settings>More settings>Mobile Networks> Sprint Connections Optimizer check it off. Problem solved.

I personally freeze it, because I hate it. It drains so much battery..

I have been trying to figure this out and have tried everything. I notice it only happens at home. Anyone experiencing this have an ATT Uverse wireless router? Just wondering if its being activated by an outside source and not the phone. I have HTC EVO 4 G and Sprint.

The Sprint connection optimization uses GPS and triangulation to determine your location. When you are near the location where you have connected to wifi it will reactivate wifi. Turning off connection optimizer will solve the issue ... not sure where to turn this off on HTC Evo 4G.
