All color varients are currently available, unlocked, on E Bay, but only for GSM carriers, not CDMA carriers in the United States

I am both a Verizon customer and devotee of a Black phone, to go along with my Black (fast) car, and my Black Tab S 4, and my Black Tab S 2, and my Black Note 8, and my Black Note 7, and my Black cat......... well, you get the picture

Can someone please educate me if there is a good chance they will release a Black CDMA compatible phone to the United States?

Sammie, in two web site chat conversations with me, said in no uncertain terms, that they WERE going to release a Black CDMA Verizon Note 9, but had no date......

Should I believe them, or should I go buy a Blue (fast) car, get a Blue skin for my Tab S4, get a Blue case for my Black Note 8, and........ well..... the Black cat.............. I just might do it!!

I need professional help LOL

It will probably be in 3-4 months time. The last few phone releases were the same way. If you want the phone now, get the blue and put a black case on it. No one will ever know the phone is blue but you.

I have never seen Verizon get new colors later in a device cycle. Usually the only retailer that gets new colors 3-4 months after release day is Best Buy.

Yes, you are correct. Carriers usually don't get the new colors. People can still buy it and get the unlocked model and pay through the carrier just as it worked with the S9+ unlocked model.

Thanks

But Best Buy would not be getting a CDMA compatible (Verizon) phone then......correct?

I can wait if they receive a Black Note 9 that works on Verizon's network.......

.......in other words, an unlocked Note (dual sim - GSM) would not work on Verizon's CDMA network.....correct??

If you get the unlocked version, it will work with Verizon. They'll probably do what they did with the S9+ unlocked version and offer a discount if you activate it with a carrier.

NexusGirlX...........

I appreciate your help here......

I don't understand.......there are many many unlocked Black Note 9's on E-Bay from foreign sellers or United States sellers that are unlocked, but every single one of them are "GSM" phone and say specifically that they don't work on Verizon.....they say "No CDMA"

This is confusing me as well. I just checked BestBuy for the unlocked Note 9 phone. They show an unlocked version and then they show a version that works with each carrier. The note list that the unlocked works with Verizon.

It's simple, those are unlocked international versions with exynos chip and also no CDMA radios. Anyone can sell anything on eBay, Amazon etc and sellers also sell international unlocked single and dual SIM models.

The official US unlocked model is snapdragon chip and also has the radios to support all major US carriers. Amazon, best buy, b&h, Samsung, maybe some eBay sellers and many other places also sell the official US unlocked model that works on all US carriers and has official US manufacturer warranty.

So, if you want to buy unlocked model and want to work on Sprint, Verizon then you have to choose US unlocked model which currently has only blue and purple color. Later if they release other colors for the US unlocked model it'll work with Verizon.

Because it's US unlocked model which has radios to work for all US carriers and not the international unlocked model which is GSM only.
