Android Central Question

The Samsung Galaxy J320v seems to be the exact same phone as other J3 2016 models which have the same Snapdragon 410 SOC. The official TWRP for the J3 2016 is labeled "j3lte" but the J320v says "j3ltevzw". There are no ROMs specifically designed for the j320v, but there are plenty for other Qualcomm models. It is fine if a ROM from another J3 will not allow calls and data, as long as it will not brick a J320v. I am not using it as a phone, just as a tablet. Touchwiz on low end hardware makes the UI spend more time freezing and stuttering than actually working.

No, absolutely not! The 320V is a CDMA phone (so is the 320P), the rest are all GSM phones.

First, install Nova Launcher and see if that makes things any better. The longest I've been able to use TW is about 2 minutes - then I want to throw the phone into a wood-chipper. I could write a better launcher than that in my sleep.)

If that doesn't make it more usable (different number of apps on each homepage, different number of apps on each dock - and multiple docs - and it's smoother and faster), there's not much you can do - it seems as if no one is developing ROMs for the Verizon version. (You can install TWRP [j3ltevzw] on it, but that won't make Android work any better.)
