Will a Verizon Pixel 4 XL work on T-Mobile?

Hey I am thinking about purchasing a Pixel 4 XL marked as "Verizon", will it work properly on T-Mobile? Also as long as the device is paid off can I simply call Verizon and have them "Unlock" the device for me and I can plug in my T-Mobile SIM card?

Yeah I see why not after it's sim unlocked and paid off

Even if it's paid off, Verizon's policy is to sim unlock automatically after 60 days. So be careful and check properly. Not completely sure if they will sim unlock before that if the original owner asks. Double check the policy but after it's sim unlocked yeah it'll work on any US carrier, they are still the same hardware.

So it sounds like the best bet is to stay away from a Verizon branded phone and just find one directly from Google unlocked.

I usually get direct from Google , but Verizon models usually have good deals

I'm not sure if the same issue will apply with this phone, but I transferred a Verizon Pixel 3a to T-Mobile and I cannot get the visual voicemail feature to work. T-Mobile spent at least 4-5 hours trying to help me fix that to no avail. They concluded that it was because it was a Verizon branded phone.
