Android Central Question
I have a lot of interest in the Android One line of phones. I always wanted to have stock Android to play with. I am maybe looking at the LG G7 One or the Nokia 8.1.
My question is fairly basic. I want to know if Android One phones work with a USB-C to HDMI adapter for connecting to a TV or is it dependant on the manufacturer or device? I know some phone (like my LG G6) disable this feature and force you (usually with a pop-up message) to cast over Wi-Fi.
When I am at work, on break, I want to watch a downloaded Netflix show or YouTube video on the breakroom TV. Our building doesn't have Wi-Fi and I have had too many problems trying to use a Chromecast via my phones hotspot.
Has anyone had any success with this feature on the Android One line of phones?
