Will Corona cause Note 20 late release?

Why not release the Note like late Nov for Christmas sales? I always wondered why released in late August the last few years. Summer is the worst time for retail and back to school shopping in August parents are buying clothing and computers.

Just makes sense IMO release it in late Nov. People might be inclined to spend more too around then.

I myself have the money I could buy S20 Ultra right now or anything but being real here. If sales are very bad this august and into the fall for the Note I don't want that to give Samsung any ideas to nix the line. Rumors the last 2 years about eventually nixing it. Don't want to give the higher powers any ideas to do that.

Why not release the S line and have the Note line at the same time as the biggest screen high end model? The reason I think that is not the case is because of die hards like us who will buy the top end S line and then 5 months later will spend more $$ and get the Note!

that last paragraph makes my point. if they released both at around the same time, they will lose sales. I think the prices of the phones is doing more damage than the virus is doing. IMO, Samsung needs to drop the free junk they give and drop the price of the phone 20-30 percent when released. they still will make a hefty profit.

Even if they were to release an Ultra version I might not get it since I already have S20 Ultra. That is unless a Note Ultra has an improved camera
I would assume it should or fix whatever issue on the s20 ultra , I'd be shocked if not.

It's very difficult to fix the shallow depth of field without going to extreme changes in the hardware. They might be able improve the autofocus with minor changes.

I'm not sure what the exact problem is in the ultra is just the focus ? Maybe they use different camera ?

It's mostly the sensor size and focal length which like I said, would be difficult to fix without a major redesign.
Most of the focusing issues, at least my unit, have gone away. It's still clumsy for some at shorter distances depending on what you're trying to focus on. I'm perfectly happy with the Ultra but if they want to improve it, that's OK.

Be Interesting see what they do

Just thoughts off the top of my head...

The Note is usually wider than the S-series due to pen... so if they keep the Ultra height and add a mm to the width, that would probably give it the 7" display. Please don't make the phone any larger than that over the Ultra.

Even wider than the S-series, in the past they seem to still have to go smaller battery to fit everything so I will guess they will put a 4500 mah battery in it and not the 5000. I'm hoping if they do that, they can get to the thickness of the S20+ and not the Ultra.

That doesn't eliminate the ridiculously huge camera system on the Ultra... so I can only wish they eliminate the 100x Zoom Periscope system to make a smaller thinning package. That's just a wish so best case they go with a tuned up S20+ system in it.

Add 2nd Gen FPS and 120 hz ability at QHD which means they use the newer panel they use on the OnePlus 8 Pro since the current S20 panels can't do it because it's a hardware issue... and I'll be more excited at the idea of the Note 20+. Also add new colors in a matte finish in back.

If they make the Note 20+ as chunky and bigger than the Ultra, then I hope Samsung takes all the above and puts it in the smaller Note 20 with the same processor... Like how iPhone does it with the iPhone 11 Pro and Max Pro versions... they don't cheapen the smaller unit with cheaper chips.

Otherwise I'm really thinking of the Note 10+ (possibly 5G) at the cheap to hold me another year or two.

Yeah be up there hopefully can cram it in a package like s20 ultra

I agree here , I really hope they keep that 100x zoom I want try that even though it's more for fun that's what interest me about Huawei p20 ,30 and 40.

If the Note Ultra becomes reality you're looking at 7+ inches

I would imagine 7.2" or even 7.5" if they got brave enough to use the wrap around waterfall screen, no buttons except a power button on the top, under display camera or a pop up.

can you say 2K or more :-) maybe it will be a note fold :-)

Read more than one "report" here in the UK that if anything they will bring forward the unveiling to July.

We don't know what is to come yet but If you don't like the ridiculously large camera, get the smaller one. Many people will want the 100X zoom. Not for the actual 100X but for focal lengths like 10 and 30X.
