Will extended battery fit with the standard battery cover?

As I said, the original cover fits just fine. I can't see any difference in how it fits opposed to the extended battery cover.

As to the reason why I don't want to use the extended battery cover, its because I want to carry the extra battery to swap with when the first battery gets low. I don't want to have to have to carry both the battery AND the extra cover with me. The only other way to solve that would be to have two batteries exactly the same size which would mean getting another battery to match.

While many have fit the standard battery cover over the extended battery I would be worried about putting to much stress/pressure on the tabs that hold the cover on the phone. Does the battery come with the new cover? If so I don't see any reason to use the standard one anyway?

Yes, a new cover comes with the extended battery. However, I never tried it. I just put in the extended battery and put the original cover back on.

There's absolutely no sign of stress on the clips. No extra effort is needed to push on the cover with the extended battery.

Trying to use the standard cover, with the extended battery is not a good idea. It will cause the bottom of the cover to stop snapping. I had that issue after trying to force it on. Anybody that says it fits with ease, is lying. I had to buy a new cover. I took the extended battery back. It's not worth the extra 20-30 minutes of use. Just got the extra standard battery, with charger.

I am not lying! I can only speak for my phone and cover. It truly does "fit with ease" in my case. No difference from the using the standard battery.

i don't think anyone is lying. Every unit has different tolerances and opinions are subjective.

If I'm dealing w/OEM materials under warranty, I myself will stick with what the mfg says is the correct configuration. eg, no mixing/matting backs and batteries, no leaving off the back cover to accomodate a case. That's my opinion, everyone can experiment as they want to.

What's with the petty accusations of "lying", like people have nothing better to do with their time than spread lies about battery covers? Anyway, I also got the extended battery from the Verizon half-off sale. The extended battery adds a slight, but negligible heft. The bundled extended battery cover, however, doesn't fit flush even WITHOUT a battery. Either the bottom or by the volume button of the extended battery cover always stays popped out.

The standard battery cover, on the other hand, fits fine with the extended battery, although there's a slight lift by the headphone jack. Even with that slight lift, the standard cover ironically fits way better with the extended battery than the extended cover. Perhaps my extended cover just had poor manufacturing tolerance.

I bought my extended battery when they half off, so I bought two.

I have only used the extended battery covers. No problems so far with the covers.
