Sort of complicated question. I rolled back Lollipop on my unrooted Samsung S5 and I disabled com.wssyncmldm to stop update notifications. However, before doing this I am pretty certain my phone download the OTA marshmallow update. I now think the update is taking up valuable memory.

So if I do a factory reset will it delete this OTA update file? Thanks!

OTA downloads are stored in the /cache folder so no need to go through a whole factory reset, just boot into recovery and clear /cache and you're done.

hi.. how about if i rooted, but disable the notification... my phone either vibrates every so often or i hear the notification. Can i clear system cache without any issues?

O:-) I can't speak for a downloaded OTA: But for those installed Updates
it doesn't get Deleted after a Factory reset. As long you back up apps
before the Reset. I verified that recently. Hope answer your Q.?
