I know that ota updates wont delete user apps and data but does anyone know if updating from android 4.4 kit Kat KRT160 to KRT16S via ota will delete or remove cwm?

It depends on how you install it, but generally OTA scripts run via the stock recovery. If it does, you'll still be unlocked and can easily reflash CWM or TWRP via an app like ROM manager or through your ADB connection like previously.

So basically if I update via ota, I'll have to reflash cwm?

You may have to. I updated my mother in law's Nexus 7 with CWM via adb and did not have to reflash it, but while it's 99% the same as an actual OTA, it is still slightly different. My assumption would be that you will not have to, but that if you do, it's easy.

I don't know how you managed to do it because as far as I know CWM will not work for flashing OTA and you will brick the device, but TWRP can flash it successfully.

here is what i did to avoid the mess.

1. downloaded ota to device via chrome
2. download supersu via chrome (flashing ota will wipe the superuser)
3. flashed ota( if you reboot u will lose root and custom recovery). now before rebooting flash the supersu.
4. now reboot the phone go to ROM manager to flash custom recovery. since i have root it will flash.

easy.
