Also will it cost me anything to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2 when it becomes available. Thanks in advance--Jeff
Yeah hopefully they have taken note of how irate people got before and after the Eris 2.1 update and get it to us not only faster but with all the promised features. Fingers crossed for a June or July release!
June or July? hahahaha, keep dreaming.
I thought the same thing. The have to be starting for the Evo alone, so I think we HOPEFULLY should see 2.2 pretty quick.considering the Evo is very similar internally to the Inc, I have high hopes a good portion of HTC's software gurus are hard at work on it.

HTC Talks Android 2.2 Froyo
posted Yesterday, 9:14 AM by Eric M. Zeman
In response to inquiries about Android 2.2 Froyo and when its handsets will be able to update to the latest Google Android software, HTC said, "...if your phone was launched this year [2010], we will most likely offer an upgrade for it to the Froyo version. This includes popular models like the Desire and Droid Incredible as well as hotly anticipated phones like the Evo 4G, MyTouch slide and upcoming models. We will announce a full list of phones and dates once we are closer to launching the upgrades. We are working closely with Google and our other partners to ensure we have the earliest access to everything we need to provide a complete and solid Sense experience on Froyo. We expect to release all updates in the second half of this year but can't be more specific yet."
