I have a Nexus 4 running 4.4.2 and I want to replaced the maps version 7.04 with 6.14.4

If I unchecked the option to allow updates from other than Play, will it work ?

My guess is no, because i don't think the system allows apps to go backwards farther then the "factory" state for the os (i.e the version kitkat came with).I have not tried it, but this is just my guess.
