will my rogers s7 work in dubai uae?

I got a new s7 from rogers my carrier for someone in uae. I bought an unlock code and entered it.

It said unlock successful!

No Sim has ever been put in yet.

Will I have any issues?

You are just getting the international version, so you should be fine as long as it's unlocked your sim should work fine. just make sure to put in the APN settings for Rogers

The Rogers, Canadian, model, G930W8 is compatible with the UAE networks, du and Etisalat.

Confirmed works with eslaate provider

I unlocked it online first for 20 dollars before i put any canadian sim.

Found out later it comes unlocked until u put in a sim then locks it to the carrier.

So im wondering if i unlocked it for no reason
