Will Note 8 Have new S-Note?

In addition to the S-pen and large screen size, S-note was an essential part of the Note brand. Last year Sammy tried to replace it with a half-baked Samsung Notes. Will the go back to the S-note (at least in terms of features)? I hope so.

Nope, Samsung Notes is where they're at, unfortunately I do hope they at least implement some of the missing features on Samsung Notes, but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

That's probably force of habit (calling it S-Note). The app is no longer called that, and if you look at the icons, those are Samsung Notes icons, not S-Note (notebook).

I am soooo f'ng pissed off. The fix we had last year to install S Note on the N7 better work. This will make something I've been looking so forward to truly suck. I am thoroughly invested in S Note since the N3, including my 10.1 & 12.2 tablets. Samsung Notes was crap in comparison.

This is what many of us did for the N7. The original .apk was from XDA forums. The .apk's for the other features are from apkmirror. So long as I can do this w/the N8, I'll be far less pissy about the whole thing.

I have it sideloaded on my S8, so it should work on the upcoming Note.

I feel you. Updates to the S-Note is one thing I always looked forward to. Like others, I also have it loaded on the S8 but it's just not the same without the Spen.
