Will QC 3.0 charger work with iPhones?

I'm looking at getting a new Quick Charge 3 charger for my Galaxy S6 in case my next phone supports QC3, however, my wife likes to borrow my charger when she can't find hers and she has an iPhone. Will the charger only allow the 5v/2A output that the phone will accept or will there be a compatibility issue?

I know you can get chargers with mixed QC3 and "SmartCharge" ports so I wasn't sure which ones are the best to go for.

Welcome to the forums. If the phone doesn't have software to support QC, it won't work.

I get that it won't Quick Charge, that's a given. Will it not even charge normally, even at only 1 or 2 amps?

It should charge. I'm not sure at what level though.
