Just wondering the sticky residue from a camera protector would damage the painted surface of the rear cameras on the S21 Ultra?

Jerryrig shows that this painted surface scratches pretty easily and just wondering if using a camera protector is a good idea or not?

Tried one that came with tpu screen protectors I first put on. Didn't like it. It was tough to get off. Had to use a plastic pry tool I had to remove it carefully. Did not leave any evidence or damage. Might get a dbrand skin just for the camera module.

Yea, I've seen several reviews on Amazon saying that the camera protectors are real hard to remove from the Ultra once stuck down. Some even say the glass protectors cracked and damaged/scratched the painted surface around the cameras while trying to remove.
This area is just painted and not glass like past Samsung phones.

Not sure about the Ultra, but I did peel off a hard glass camera lens protector from my S21 and it didn't leave any residue or markings.

I know the note 20 ultra camera bump did. Not sure about the s21 ultra camera bump
