Will rooting solve my problem?

I have a G2 with Android version 2.3.4 I already have and use wifi hotspot, but T Mobil doesn't allow me unlimited access while using the hotspot. I've heard that if I root my phone I will be able to get unlimited access and still use the hotspot. Is this true?

You could just buy PDA.net and FoxFi and not have to root.

Well, I just checked and there's a free version of PDA.net that clams to do the same thing. Thanks, I'll try it.
