Will Samsung widgets work with Launcher Pro

I recently purchased Launcher pro and love it but I can't get my Samsung widgets to appear. Specifically I really liked one called "program monitor" that gave a count of running applications. Is there any way to get this widget back while using Launcher pro?

If not, is there a market app that lists the running programs? The main programs I catch running are the browser and the music player.
Thanks.

Thanks, that works great but I need to "search" for running apps. There is no on-screen indication that something is running. The widget give you a program count that lets you know something is running that shouldn't be.

its not really nessisarry. the only reason you need to kill an app would be if it hung up. you are wasting time, processor and battery by killing apps. the android os is designed to keep apps running like that. most of the ones you kill will just start right back up any way, which uses processor and battery.

I understand most of the apps should not be killed. The really annoying one is the music player. Is there an exit on that app somewhere that I am missing? One you start it, it never wants to go away.

yeah, some of them do that. is it causing problems for you, hanging up your phone ect? it stays up to keep your place in the play list, and to start up faster. which music app are you using. have you tried another music app? the aosp is good one.

I am just using the built in player. I may download one that shuts down "properly". It's not causing any problems other than in the back of my head I know it is running. I'll probably just leave it alone but I wish it had a normal exit like most apps. Thanks for the help.

lol. i know what you mean. i had a real hard time at first getting my head around the fact that its ok for that stuff to be running. it jsut doesnt seem right!! but i honestly have noticed a differance in battery life and overall performance since i stopped killing apps.

What he is saying is what Ive been searching for. The Program Monitor (Samsung Widget) is phenomenal at keeping track of open applications. It isnt like the applications settings with force close, it tracks what else is running in the foreground, not the background.

It isnt per say a "task killer" but more like the bottom bar on your computer, shows you what you have open. For example, Internet could still be open or email, because you didnt exit correctly out of the program. Its like I said, a Program Monitor.

To answer your question, I have been unsuccessful in locating this widget and can't tolerate any other launcher because of it, as unfortunate as that is.

Lets be honest, the battery life is great, especially after the DL09 update so i certainly dont need ANYTHING using what battery i have.
