I have a Pre currently and I am on Sprint, so I will be switching to the Evo when it comes out.

Asphalt 5 from Gameloft has been out on the iPhone and the Pre for quite some time and now has come to Android. It runs great on the iPhone and Pre, and good on the Droid, but not so well on the Nexus One, so I am just wondering how well it will run on the Incredible, because that should give a pretty good indication how it will run on the Evo as well.

You can get your money back within 24 hours if you buy on the Android Market, right?

Nexus and Incredible are pretty close cousins, so I assume they would play the same. What are the issues on the Nexus? Or are you just going by the Market reviews.

Yeah it depends on what you mean by it not working right. Phil ran a benchmark test on the N1 and Incredible and they were both about the same. Aside from graphics, reports indicate that the Incredible fares better.

Yes, you can return an app within 24 hours of purchase.

The issues are apparently the graphics hardware. The droid is using similar hardware as the Pre and iPhone which probably explains why it is getting a better frame rate than the Nexus One does. I was just hoping that maybe there are some mild hardware changes that might give the Incredible an advantage. I have seen videos of the game running on a N1 and while it seemed playable, it did look a little choppier.

I wish one of those tech sites would do a real in depth analysis of what's under the hood of a Snapdragon chipset and compare it to the Omap 3/PowerVR setup seen in the Pre and iPhone 3gs.

hopefully with the plethora of snapdragon powered devices coming out now and on the horizon, developers will be more willing to code better for it.

That's what I am hoping for too. After all, Asphalt 5 is an "old" game developed initially with the iPhone in mind.

google really needs to get that apps on the sd card update out already so we can get some more quality games on the platform.

if i could get zenbound on my incredible i would be a happy camper
