Will the Epic sellout or is it hype (again)?

So is the Epic projected (by anyone other than Sprint) to sell out today? I just received a call from one of my local Houston-area Sprint stores. I'm on the waiting list for an Evo, and they just called to offer me an Epic, "another 4G phone." I would imagine the stores wouldn't be calling around if they were actually selling out.

I wouldn't take any chances. All the new Android phones are in high demand right now.

My local Sprint store says they have a ton, and that hardly anyone has purchased one so far today. My contract isn't up until tomorrow and even after calling customer support they wouldn't move it up a day early.

Even if you preordered good luck getting a phone. My family got lucky, even though we reserved, with cancellations. Everywhere I call in my area has them spoken for.
