Will the Gear 2/Gear Neo/Gear Fit Work With Android 4.3

Hello,
I am prepared to purchase the recently available Gear 2 smart watch. Now, as a Verizon customer, I am stuck on version 4.3 of android. Will the Gear 2 be able to work, I've seen that it runs an updated Gear Manager. Does it require android 4.4? Will I have to wait for Kitkat, or am I able to buy it now?

Update:
I've found a solution. Simply install Samsung Apps apk online and install the new gear manager. Problem solved!
