Will the Nexus S last 2 more years?

We get it.

You love the EVO3D.

The Cyanogenmod devs should probably go ahead and toss the GSIIs they got from Samsung right in the trash and work on only the future of smartphones.......3DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!11!!!!!

I went to the Sprint store and asked the guy about the $50 credit special thing, and he said it's already included in the discounts.

Does that mean the Nexus will be $200 dollars after that special is over? I thought the Nexus had been 150 before July 7th.

He also said the 3D has a better screen and better battery life lol.

He's also paid to sell you the more expensive one.

Thanks for convincing me! And I hope to see you guys around the forums ;P

BUT

What about Nexus Prime? Late in 2011? (Oct or later) Heard it's going to be better than Nexus S 4G.

You gonna ok with Nexus S 4G for next 2 years?!?!??!?!?

For one, nothing is confirmed about the next one, let alone which carrier (yes I am aware that the rumor is all carriers at once). So one might as well wait til the Nexus Prime comes out AND THEN wait to see what's coming after that, because........it will be better.

For two, not everyone has to wait for subsidized pricing to be able to afford the latest and greatest.

For three, who cares? At the end of the day, it's just a phone and a new device on the market isn't going to make the one you currently own obsolete or unusable. Ridiculous that these things turn into dick swinging contests amongst a bunch of internet strangers.

Chud's pretty much 100% correct.

Plus, the Nexus S has been outdated ever since it hit T-Mo back in 2010. :P Stop freaking out about it. It's fine. It's a high-end phone still and won't be low end until at least two years from now.

Besides, the Nexus One had 2.1, then 2.2, and now 2.3.4. That means the Nexus S will AT LEAST get 2.3, ICS, and whatever's after ICS.

-_-;; But I was saying to people who still are under 2-year contract with old phones or not having Nexus! Gee, I don't care if they have complain on spending on newer phone. It's just whatever they want.

I know it's a phone so I just prefer VERY SIMPLE phone. I am against HTC EVO 3D. Not like 3D. So yeah a phone is a phone.

Chud, I didn't know you could say that in here - haha - so true.

I know mine will last - I had wanted this type of phone, the Epic without a keyboard - but this is sweeter - no bloatware, no Sprint, no trying to figure out how to put something on, but especially get something off.

I am running stock for the first time in years, even the Epic had to be hacked and rommed to run like it should. Mine is unlocked, rooted, and relocked - I could put 2 needs to be rooted apps on. I do not want to experiment or maintain someone's roms and quirks.

I only miss 2 things - notification light and zoom on camera. I tried the kernel to support, not as good of battery life as stock, and I have a camera, so I'm good.

I thought I wanted the Galaxy 2 coming out, yes, it will be a little bit faster, a little bit bigger, but a dual processor for me who does not game nor brag about my quadrants, is useless. If I'm going to watch tv or play games, I will use my Ipad so I don't have to use my glasses. And this phone is a perfect fit in hand, pocket.

Yes, for the first time this might last more than 2 years for me.
