While Samsung may announce an update rolling out soon, it often takes a while to actually arrive. Last OS update, Samsung had its version rolling out 31 days after the Google launch. But not all phones actually got it right away. Variations in network can play a role here, and some see quite a delay.
Website YouMobile claims to have been leaked the following list of devices, confirmed for the Marshmallow update:

I love my note 4 edge..not thrilled with the fact Sammy went to closed units. I need the expandable memory. My wife gripes about my data usage. We have 15 gigs to share across 4 devices. I would stream pandora but my data alone is 6 to 8 gigs just for music. That doesn't include everything else.

Haha, I will move on eventually, with a new device. I've just had the experience with Android where the original OS version a device ships with tends to work the best as it's had the most time to be tested with and designed for said device. It's also my IT background (19 years now) that has taught me a "look before you leap" mentality. That is unless you like to be a beta tester and on the bleeding edge of trying out new software and dealing with its inherent bugs.

I agree with you 100%, could not have said it better myself. To me, my Note 4 was the perfect device on Kit Kat. I made the mistake of upgrading to lollipop, and while I'm on 5.1.1 now which is much much better than 5.0.1, I'll be sure to never repeat this mistake.

The 5.1.1 update was a huge improvement over 5.0.1.

Marshmallow sucks. I'm waiting for Nutella, or Nestle, or NutterButter, or whatever the next OS is called. I've had 6.0, and now 6.0.1 on my Nexus 5, and it's like Lollipop 5.1.2, or 5.1.3. I don't think that it would be any better on my Note 4.
