Yeah Google have mentioned that they will be addressing the ram issue in a future update.

XDA Developers have a great list outlining a lot of the reported issues with the Pixel phones and whether Google have acknowledged them and advised of a fix: https://www.xda-developers.com/google-pixel-3-pixel-3-xl-issues-problems-help-list/

For the ram management issue, Google have acknowledged it and will be pushing a fix out on the coming weeks.

I hope so. And judging from the other replies, seems likely. Still debating on whether to get the pixel 3 XL, especially since it's on sale. This one issue is what is keeping me from getting the phone tbh

And somebody says there is a ram issue.
