Will the sim card out of an S4 work in the Turbo?

Sim Card Question/upgrade....

Hey everyone,

Will the sim card out of a s4 work in the Turbo? I have heard if you just swap sim cards you won't lose your unlimited data. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't believe it will work. The turbo uses a nano Sim I believe and the s4 uses a larger micro slim. The only way u could do it would be to get a Sim card cutter off of amazon to cut it to the right size.

Yeah I've heard the same method. You could probably do it with a knife too, I did for one of my friends. But if you screw it up, you mess up the sim card. Verizon would probably just give you another to replace it for free anyway, they never charge me.

Yea and from what I heard u have to be careful even with the Sim cutting tool. I've hear of people going to use it and it cracks the Sim card sometimes.

I had a Droid 4 with the micro sim, and also wanted to keep my unlimitied data. I transferred my available upgrade to a line on my plan with tiered data, and then ordered the Turbo as an upgrade for that line. I picked up a cutter, and cut my micro sim down to nano sim size, and put it into the Turbo (I took out the included nano sim before ever powering it on). Powered the Turbo up, still have unlimited data and no problems so far.

Also, the tool I picked up also came with a nano to micro adapter, so I can put my sim back into the Droid 4 (or anything with micro sim) if I want to.

so you didn't bother activating the Turbo on the Tier Data Line? You just activated the Turbo on the Unlimited plan with the cut up sim card from your Droid 4.?
