will the v10 battery fit the v20?

Don't even try it since it's not the same mAh
I can't speak to fitment, but the mAh rating itself wouldn't harm the phone. If anything, you may get some extra heat because battery draw will be a higher C rating (basically more current relative to the capacity).

Thank you everyone. I wont risk it. I asked because I have an extra battery and charger from my v10. I'll just sell it on ebay

Geez...with all the recent Samsung news, I am not sure why anyone would even entertain that idea.

I was asking this question too in other threads... and never really thought about the safety aspects of it. While the V10 battery may fit in the V20, if the manufacturer did not test either this way, it would not be recommended.

It's the Voltage that's important! And the physical size/pin out.
The mAh is for how long it will run. Just look at flashlights and your car's battery.

Lateck,

I would like to know this as well. I have a V10 with a ZeroLemon 9000mah battery that I would like to move to a V20 if it would be compatible. I would prefer not to have to shell out another $70 for another zerolemon if I go with a V20.

How long have you had the Zerolemon for the V10? Notice any drop in performance of it?

I've had the battery for about a year and so far its still great. I get 3-4 days on a single charge with moderate use. Only thing is my V10 is not rooted so it sees the battery as stock and it'll get to 5% or so and every day-day and a half i have to turn it off, take the batt out for a few secs, put it back, power up and its back to 80%.

Odd.... I have not heard of the V20 having that issue. I certainly don't have it with one of the double batteries.

I read somewhere that the V10 would eventually "learn" its different battery size after a few drains and charges, or there was some trick you could do besides rooting but hasn't happened in a year. Taking out the battery once a day or so isn't too painful tho so its not a big issue.

I have a ZeroLemon battery from V10, wonder if it will fit in the V20.

The voltage should be the same and mAh capacity doesn't make a difference either it's the shape of the battery that I am inquiring about.

hey about the zerolemon extended battery for the V20...where are you finding them? I'm not seeing on Amazon or eBay?

You can always get them directly off zerolemon dot com or Amazon. They do come up on Ebay frequently, sometimes used ones cheap.

I am not sure if a used one is worth it given ZL batteries slowly lose capacity over time. There is no way to tell if the battery had 10 recharge cycles or 1000 and is almost dead.

it seems as though many of you think we should stick with LG batteries how do you know if those LG batteries are any good unless you get them from LG? I've had some Samsung batteries come through eBay that will garbage.

So even though you are suggesting sticking with the company OEM battery, many of you are looking for extended batteries I bet ZeroLemon which obviously is not an LG battery.

it is hard to tell which of the batteries that are sold on amazon.com are fresh because I haven't been watching what batteries have been sold for the v20. Obviously if a new company starts producing them then their batteries would be fresh and if there's a good number of stars then you have a better chance of getting a decent battery. does anybody know a way to know when these batteries were put out to the market, their release date. So if they first hit the stores in late 2017, the batteries can't be from 2016.

In my experience, buying even NIB phone thats new old stock it usually has a bad OEM battery that needs replacement. They have a limited lifespan determined by the number of cycles or even a new battery will go bad within 2 years or so. It is a time sensitive device. They cannot keep it indefinitely in some ware house.

I got two Note 4 in the last year. They came with 3 and 4 year old batteries, respectively. Both dead. LG V10 did better but still nowhere near as good as an extended ZeroLemon.
