Will the Verizon employee strike affect the release date?

I see things like this in the news and have to wonder if this will affect phone launches... Thoughts?

The CNN article I read said that the strike would not affect Verizon Wireless operations.

Edit 2: Well, it won't affect Verizon Wireless customers...whatever that means. I guess we won't lose service.

Their Verizon Wireless division is not and has never been unionized, so none of them should be on strike and it should continue to operate as usual.

It won't. They're separate operations. If you were planning on switching to FiOS in the near future, it could affect that.

What you know as Verizon Wireless is really/legally Cellco Partnership. They just DBA as VZW. It is 55% owned by Verizon Inc (striking), but as stated, different operations.
