No 5G phone will be selling well until the new networks are widely available. Right now, there’s just absolutely no point in buying one. The S10 5G runs circles around the iPhone XS Max, with the exception of the camera, and costs less (at least here) - but again - why update. Plus a lot of people will wait for the new iPhones this year with iOS 13 being a massive update.

The iPhone is a better "investment". It has higher resale and gets updates way longer than LG and longer than Samsung.

Maybe - but the iPhone will be seriously lagging behind when it comes to 5G. As it looks now, they won’t be releasing a 5G version until the end of 2020. At least here, 5G will have more than 90% coverage of the entire population by the end of 2019. People will want to use that network then. Unless Apple breaks its release cycle and releases one earlier, Samsung will be our best option for at least another year and a half.
