Does anyone think we'll see CM9 on the nook color? How do you think it'll run? And finally, when do you think we'll see it?

Dal said it will probably come after the touchpad gets it. As of now it looks like it could be a while as we need to upgrade the kernel before anything can get done and thatwill be a lot of work as all of the HAL has to be written from basically scratch.

there is a honeycomb port for the NC, do you think ICS would be possible?

Honeycomb port is and will always be terrible. Yes, ICS is possible, it will just be a lot of work. Don't expect very much too soon.

Yeah, development is kinda dead for the NC. Stupid HP and their touchpad fire sale...

Dal stated today that work on ics for legacy devices (AKA Nook Color) has begun but that it won't happen overnight. At least there is some hope.

Hey, that's great news! I will love some ICS goodies running on my phone AND my nook!

Can you explain the connection? HP basically destroyed webOS. A bunch of Touchpads running a now doomed platform isn't likely to effect us much.

Basically all of the Nook devs picked one up and have been working on it taking their time away from the Nook.

The main CM7 developers for our Nook got their hands on the TP and have been busy with it. That is why we are affected.

Edit: Didn't see koopakid08's post on this page when I responded with this redundant comment......

Yah I'm a little slow but I get there eventually. I kinda wish I had snagged a touchpad now. I hear they sold out like within an hour so I never stood a chance.

I tried for one as well and missed it. Even signed up to be notified when the final ones would be released but HP pulled a fast one and sold them all to stores where they could set their own prices and/or terms. After having HP discontinue several devices after I had already bought them I was not surprised. I refuse to buy another HP product.

Loaded CM9 on mine last night. So far it's been flawless. Used this [GUIDE] Install CM7 or CM9(!) + Clockworkmod to EMMC - ALL NOOKS! (Updated:1/28/12) - xda-developers and took all the CM9 options. I LIKE it. Hope it doesn't poop on me at some point because I'm getting spoiled quickly.

I'm a little confused. I'm running CM7.1 with the most recent recovery. I want to update to CM9. But in the instructions it says:
Flash the files in this order:
1. cm .zip
2. gapps
3. Clockworkmod emmc .zip

Do I need to flash clockworkmod emmc.zip?

I loaded CM7.1 and had issues with it but I did go from 7.1 to 9 following the instructions exactly, including flasing Clockworkmod. Not sure if you have to or not.

I would. Just to be safe...

You can always Android Restore! ;)

Sent from my LG-LS670 running CyanogenMod 9 and Ice Cream Sandwich!

I followed the directions to install cm9 to a T. However, after I reboot from recovery, I get the setup wizard with the little android man. When I press the icon I'm told that the setup wizard can't continue. What's did I do wrong?
Edit:
It works perfectly. I had download the wrong gapps.

everyone can do this!
