No, will not be getting a Z4v. I have a Z3 on Tmo (which I truly enjoy) and have no desire to move to Verizon. Other reasons I won't be using a Z4v:
1. It is not a stock Z3+ / Z4. It is thicker so will require a specific case. I suspect 3rd party support will be almost non-existent.
2. I don't trust the SD810. The persistent over-heating reports concern me.
3. I think this is a stop-gap release by Sony. I think we'll see a new design for the Z series in the near future (late summer / early fall).
MHO....for what it's worth.
Think I'm going to replace my wife's S4 with this phone. Only concern is the 810, but the only thing she does on the phone that might trigger overheating is take videos. Hopefully Sony/Qualcomm have things sorted out by now. Wonder which version of the 810 Sony is using.
Just saw this artical this morning on v2.1:
Comparing Snapdragon 810 v2 and v2.1: More Memory Bandwidth, Higher Clocks
Have had the z3v from Verizon for couple of months now. Have had NO over heating issues. Even left it in a closed car for 2 hrs (92 ° outside) and still no issues. Maybe I am lucky.
