Will you be importing the note 20 ultra snapdragon 865+?

I was thinking this but after watching a couple of the Uk YouTube reviews even when not gaming the phone warms up and the battery output is weak and even more so on using the camera.

Now the embargo will have been lifted by Samsung on what reviewers can say I'll be keeping an open mind and watch more

I'm not sure that the review units are going to contain the final released software, I have recently had a couple of Huawei phones to review and both had a fixed review software so this may make a difference, or not, we'll see.

Now if Flossy was an Exynos user he'd be annoyed I'm sure, but even he waits to get the official released phone before doing his final 'Real Review'

From what i can see from the initial reviews and them showing the settings screens they do have the latest software versions that's going to be shipped with the retail versions.

The phones Samsung send out to reviewers typically don't have accessories / leaflets etc in them.

Well that's from what I see anyway.

Here's hoping better reports are given on the Exynos 990 variant.

You ready to order again lol

Yep.

I hated having to send the phone back to Samsung as I liked it so much.

But this time I'm going with the Snapdragon version through Wandamobile _ all being well.

Still waiting for Samsung Uk to refund the one they collected !

How's your Exynos version going with screen on time etc.
It's going fine, I still think it's around 5% down on my Note 10+ for real world usage but that's really not an issue, my signal is not the best here, no problem with calls but still I see it around 1 or 2 bars for much of the day, also zero reception in some areas of my work, same as the Note 10+ My usage is usually phone calls, texts, bit of browsing and some camera/video so not too heavy, only around 2 - 3 hours max screen on in a day.

On a weekday at work I've yet to go lower than 62% it's on the charger at around 6am every day. But at weekends it usually gets charged Friday morning and lasts until either late Saturday or early Sunday, that is unless I decide to have some S Pen fun.

I've taken some really good photos, the 108mp camera detail when cropped is really good, but care is needed to get a good shot. Pretty pleased all in all but still there's no harm in wanting better battery;)

Thank you.

You can probably tell I'm collating as much info as possible in order to choose wether to try an Exynos N20 Ultra again or get a Snapdragon variant. :)

Any warming up at all ?

The one I sent back was pretty good with battery but I didn't really get time to push it at all and it didn't warm up but the signal connectivity alarmed me.

I'm at work 9 hours of the day so my usage is pretty medium with most of it on the Internet and YouTube.

I haven't really noticed the phone getting hot, of course with extended camera/video usage it gets warm after a while but nothing for me to think there's an issue and no more than my Note 10+

I see where you're coming from though and of course you'll be wanting to get the best option available.

Sounds good.

The sticking point is no Samsung warranty when importing and the site to order from only sees an issue if there is more than 5 pixels dead. Re stocking fee's etc.

Once I've received my refund from Samsung UK I'll look again from Samsung UK or importing but right now I prefer the peace of mind of the warranty than an extra 1 hour of approximate screen on time from a Snapdragon variant.

Decisions decisions.

Thank you by the way.

No problem at all, there have been issues with snapdragon users also with battery but then generally less than the Exynos.
Its a minefield out there and I'm sure you would be fine most of the time with importing, but there is that one bad experience that matters.

I remember getting one of my Galaxy Notes from Clove tech, I think it was Note 3 or 4 and it arrived with the seal broken and they refused a return at the time because they said it was their policy to check phones before shipping, not sure if they still do it but I never bought from them after.

Hitting the Nail on the head cones to mind when you say its a minefield out there !!

Well after looking at Trustpilot and reading conversations elsewhere from people who have imported from Wonda into the UK and all is good I've taken the plunge and pulled the trigger.

Time to see how a Snapdragon version performs ! ;)

I hope it works out for you and the phone impresses. Let's just say that when/if the next Note comes along and its so far behind the Snapdragon, then I might be doing the same;)

Good luck. Let us know how you get on.

I did post here that Amazon US had an offer running. Including postage etc it was £1065 for a 128Gb SD Ultra, so comparable with Wonda pricing but with the Amazon safety net.

After looking around it appears from advice that it's best to get the HK option as it holds more of the frequencies and bands that work in the UK.

Also the model I have ordered is the 256Gb so I'm getting the storage and the Snapdragon version which is a win win.

:)

Heya, I am looking to get the 512gb version from wondamobile to the UK, so just wanted to see how is it working out for you. Have you managed to use 5g? Let me know how it is all going for you please, would appreciate it!

Hi.

The phone is awesome and performing well for me and I can tell between this Snapdragon and the Exynos version I sent back to Samsung UK that it's more powerful and utilises optimization much better.

Sadly I can't advise on 5G as I'm on o2 Payg so that connection isn't available to me but as 5G only really offers faster file downloads and people have reported it cains the battery I'm not fussed.

Hey, thanks for the response. Ah that's really dope and reassuring. Glad that it is performing well.

Ahh right I see, 5g capability of this version of the phone in the UK is one of the main things I want to make sure that works perfectly before I buy the phone from wondamobile, I shall try do some more research.

Would appreciate if anyone else has any info about 5G capabilities of the HK version in the UK.

Take a look on xdadevelopers.com as there are live threads from people who have imported the phone and are using 5G.
