Will you buy another LG smartphone

I have been sticking to LG since my LG G Pro, which I bought in 2012, and then owned a G2, a G Pro 2, now using the G3 Cat6, and planning to buy the G4 maybe in the end of this year.

Other LG smartphone owners, how about you guys?

I think if the new LG G Pro comes out (rumored), I would consider it.

I'm not sure brand loyalty is worth it in today's smartphone market. Especially for me because I never use the stock firmware. So I am mainly buying based on form factor and technical specs. The rundown on major manufacturers for me:

LG: They keep bezels down to a minimum and their phones have nice styling. They always seem to have removable battery and a micro sd card slot (a staple for any ROM flasher).

Samsung: The styling is recently very nice as well as minimal bezels. The compromise is the battery not being removable and no sd card slot (maybe note 5 will keep that at least?). Another huge issue for me is Knox.

HTC: Styling is good but the bezels are large. Recent flagships are mediocre at best.

Sony: Big bezels.. Their phones have some decent specs and I hear very good things about these phones.

Motorola: I like the specs on these phones, generally. However, they are prescribing to the non-removable battery and lacking SD card slot. Bezels are good, though.

Lenovo: Great buy for the money it seems, but I'm not sure I would consider one seriously. They're just not popular enough yet (lack of custom firmware options). Perhaps when they gain more market share.

Lumia/Microsoft: Definitely make some nice phones and the new 940/940XL looks like it will be amazing. But the major restriction here is Windows OS which seems to be lacking in the application department severely.

Apple: Would not consider due to so many proprietary restrictions.

Well, I've got a G3 on VZ; before the Lollipop update, I loved the phone. But whatever the 2 entities did to implement the Lollipop update has seriously screwed up the phone - generally cannot get push notifications over wifi - causing significant increase in data usage (no longer have an unlimited data plan) - really not happy. I have no idea who's fault this is.

I won't bore you with all my previous phones. See my siggy for that. As for LG, I think they are tops in electronics and will buy anything that has LG on it if I'm in the market for something new. In fact, my Maytag washer went out a few months ago and I replaced it with an LG. However, I'm not a brand loyalist and will jump to another brand if it is better and cheaper. It must be better though. Not just cheaper. I'm an electronics snob and will not just buy the cheapest electronic product.

Why Is Knox a big issue?
im only keeping samsung phone because of Knox
the way knox encrypts is there any app?

I see no issue with buying another LG. I like the styling, and the future looks bright. Will probably root it once my warranty expires.

You can root immediately if you wish. Just flash back to stock if you get an issue requiring warranty repair. You can even flash without a working screen, lol.

I love my g3. The phone works amazing. I love the double tap to wake and the placement of the buttons on back. Definitely better than my work moto x and my old Samsung galaxy s3.

Depends on what is around when I am ready to upgrade. I like the G3 alot , tap to wake will be a hard feature to give up if I do leave LG.

I had the Optimus G and the Nexus 5 prior to my G4. So yes, I'm a fan and will purchase another LG phone. Love their design language. Software's not so bad. I run the Google Now Launcher, keyboard and Messenger apps, but I've switched a little lately just for fun. Never been a big fan of Samsung's design, I think it's been tired for some time now. I've also heard horror stories about Touchwiz. Not to big on HTC either. I am curious about some of these Chinese manufacturers breaking into the US market though.

I like the combination of size/screen/weight/removable battery/sd card.

I am not crazy about the screen brightness (have seen brighter and heard the LG G4 is brighter) and the dead battery if in bad reception area/traveling/using GPS and plugged in and still dying.

Same here. Had the Quick Circle wireless charging case, but dumped it when AT&T screwed up PMA wireless charging in Feb 2015.
Then I went to a no-flap rubbery case and discovered the double tap wake up and go to sleep. Rarely need to use a button. Wouldn't leave home without it.

Big +1 love the G3!

I'm still using the G3 today, it's the best Android smartphone I have owned. Of course I'll buy another LG phone, they have the options that Samsung and other popular manafacturers do not have such as a removable battery and SD card slot. However the software is not to my liking so I may root it soon and flash a ROM. Does anyone have suggestions for a smooth ROM with good battery life, and also is close to stock Android.

i'm still with my beloved lg optimus g and its amazing, i could perfectly stay with lg, but nexus family is calling me! :)
