Will you buy the s9 or stick with the Note 8?

Can't see the need to update from this device. Android has come a long way especially no lag anymore plus the speed of this device is awesome to boot!

Even after having only had the Note for a mere fee hours by far I don't see any reason to upgrade. This phone has everything anyone could possibly want and need!

I don't worry about what's coming out next year, because then next year, I'd be worrying about what came out after that. I like to "love the one I'm with". If my 2 years is up, or my performance is degraded so much that I can't stand it, I'll upgrade to whatever Note number we're at. :)

I bought the Note 8 on the Samsung upgrade program, if after 12 months the Note 9 is a fantastic device, an my Note 8 is not holding up, then I'll upgrade, otherwise I will stick to the 24 month 0% plan.
I'm Not getting an S series phone, I only had the S2, which was good, but after having my 1st Note (Note 2) this is what phone I will upgrade to. So its either the Note 9 or 10 for me.

Being that I still haven't even had my Note 8 for a week yet, I'd rather not even ponder the question. I'd much rather just get to know my Note 8 and enjoy IT for a while!

Lol at the comments about affording a note vs a s series. Reminds me when Wal-Mart started selling the iPhone and all I heard was people saying they were upset that poor people would be buying the iphone now.

You do have to admit it basically is. Since I have both phones I can compare. Other than the dual camera the phones are nearly identical. If you have no need for the Spen, I'd say the Note 8 you're wasting your money and buy an s8 Plus for way cheaper.

I wanted the Spen so the Note 8 it is!

Perceptive.

I'll wait for the note 10, unless the N9 is groundbreaking out clearly more advanced in features & design to the N8.

Samsung has converted me to the Note. The only move I made away from a note product was when they took my Note 7 away from me and I purchased a One Plus 3 to hold me over.

With the improvements to screen-off writing, I'm using the S-Pen more and more. Also have a Tab A with S-pen. Love both.

Just wondering if you will stick with the Note 8 when the S9 comes out and wait for the Note 9 or upgrade to the s9 Plus?

Personally I will stick with the Note 8. The S9 likely will be the Note 8 minus the spen with maybe a newer processor. Otherwise it will have the Note 8 features likely like dual camera and maybe 6gb of ram. I'm hearing the s9 might only have 4gb ram though and might be out in Feb.

It won't really be an upgrade over the Note 8.

Would you consider the Note 8 and s8 better than the iPhone X lol?

Heck, at the time this question came out, my N8 was just a couple of weeks old. Now, 2 months in, I can say, no, I will not be jumping to the S9. Heck, I won't even be going to the N9. MY next phone will be a N10.

Depends on battery size. In the unlikely event they go to a 4000 maH battery...

What would put me in the
Galaxy note 9?
I'll upgrade no matter what.

My son has the LG v30+
imo, not impressed.
My nephew was here during the Holiday with his
iPhone X, imo still not impressed.
Samsung is my world.

I won't go into my dislikes regarding the other phones like people go in on this so called lag wiz, that all phone's get if you have them long enough.
I personally think Samsung just does it better. As for now I'll enjoy my note 8, I have plenty of time before upgrading.

I'll be tempted by the S9 as I like to have the latest and greatest but I'll likely stick with the Note line and get the Note 9. I don't use the s pen everyday but when I do it's very useful. With T-Mobile I can always jump to the S9 and then Note 9 which is what I did with the 8

From the looks of the S9, the only big difference might be the finger print sensor will be put back onto the bottom of the screen. Other than a slightly new processor, it won't be much difference at all between the s9 and Note 8. S9 will likely have the same camera as the Note 8. Ram I'm not sure. Maybe the plus size model will be 6gb.

Overall if you have a Note 8, IMO it wouldn't be an upgrade going to the S9. It will basically have the same features as Note 8 but missing your spen.

I would skip the S9. Gonna be the same old phone as the Note 8 with newer processor pretty much. Probably going to be a tall and skinny display like the S8+. They ran out of ideas to innovate.

Note8 is old now? Guess you should look for another phone manufacturer then if you are not happy with Samsung? And I'm not trying to be hostile as I've been told I've been. So don't take it that way. Feel free to correct me if I took that wrong.
