Will you update to S10?

How can you make this decision until you actually know that Samsung is offering? If the improvement's beyond the S9 & S9+ are significant enough to justify the cost then it's likely many will change. The thing that would do it for me is a back to a flat screen enough of this curve already.
Because we have a pretty good idea what to expect, based on numerous reports.

yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

I definitely will be grabbing an S10+ as soon as they come out. I've had S4, S5, S6, S7 Edge, S8+ and now an S9+. They keep getting better. Hopefully the in screen FPS is accurate and you don't have to wake the device to use it. I really haven't read about it too much yet.

I won't upgrade to it from my Pixel 2 but now that Samsung has ditched the hardware button it has become more intriguing to me... So I will definitely keep my eye on the "S" line.

The last device I owned with something other than software nav was the LG Optimus G. The Nexus 5 was next, with software nav, and I'll never go back. Samsung going away from hardware navigation was a big deal for me, but that's just my preference.

I don't know what it is about the Samsung hardware button, because I like other home buttons (ie, Huawei's P line)... But yeah! You're right, it's all about preferences!

Well me and my husband since we met have always had the same phone starting with the Original HTC EVO. I had a windows phone before that with a slide out keyboard and the screen tilted I loved it LOL! We had all the EVO and HTC phones up until the 9 which we liked the 8 better and wasn't too happy so we decided to try Samsung and so glad we did. All I cared about was Android never been an Apple fan. Sold our HTC's got the 7 Edge and loved it we got to do the last of the 2 year contract and paid $300 a piece and then Samsung gave us $300 and we paid the difference and got Note 8's due to the specs and the camera but we weren't really into the Note series and once the 9 came out I had to have the plus which I got and my husband still has the Note 8. I had a $450 Best Buy gift card got 400 for my note 8 so I own my 9 plus outright and will get more for it of course than he will for his Note 8 but we both are getting the S10 plus. I can't wait. I've been saving already plus if my work does this thing again I'll get another $450 gift card to choose from and I'll do Best Buy again. This little stand in the mall buys back cell phones at a good price.

I'm excited about it and hope it really does come out 2/20 but I usually they come out March/April cause I always say this is my birthday present which is in April. I came back here to the forums to see if their was any talk about the S10.

I just watched a you tube video that said after the 3 S10 variants and before the Foldable will be a 5G special phone like a month after the S10's. Wondering if I should wait for that? Anyone know more about that one. Is the S10 Plus going to be 5G if so I don't think I'll wait on this other one. It says it'll be out a month later and mentions 6 cameras on the back 2 on the front. I need to see a comparison of it and the S10 plus but it's too soon to really know.

I usually skip models. See no reason to get a new phone every year. Like someone else said, it's better to be wowed than to gain a few new features that I probably won't use anyway. I went from a S7 to a S9 and I was wowed, but I'm still using my S7 as my primary phone. I'm just comfortable with it. I carry both with me either way.

Like you, I don't get a new model every year. I either skip manufacturers to really be "wowed" or wait to get a phone jump (ie, from the Pixel 2 to a Pixel 4).

The S10 is "supposed" to be a significant change to the Galaxy line. It's not going to be the S9 T. Whereas that could've been said about the s8 to the s9. IE the s9 could've been called the s8 T. If you get my meaning.

Yes but Samsung also outs the 'what should have been from the start' at the odd numbers. IE the S7 should have been what the S6 is from the start: water resistant and has SD card. The S9 is what the S8 should have been from the start, proper sensor placement and not reusing the S7 camera. Considering Samsung is working on a camera under the screen, there's hope that the S11 will no dimple/mole.

2 reasons not to get the Samsung Foldable:

  1. It will be first-generation, so there are going to be major issues with it.
  2. The projected price will be at least US$1700-1800. If you must get a foldable, I'd wait & see how the competition is priced.
