Will you upgrade to the Nexus 5 from the Nexus 4?

I am not - right now I cannot justify buying a new phone after 8 months (I had trouble getting stock).
I prefer to keep my phones for a least 2 years - I guess students cant afford to turn mobiles over. The nexus 5 looks are growing on me, but it cant wait the only thing I like it for is the looks as currently my n4 is snappy fast and beautiful :D

No, but all the talk about it finally motivated me to get around to rooting my N4. LTE enabled, new kernel, and a fresh reinstall of all everything made this a new phone for me!

I really like my N4 so probably not right away. Maybe if Google drops the price next summer like they did for the nexus 4 I'll pick it up then.

LTE isn't a big deal to me because I had it with my Verizon galaxy nexus and T mobile's hspa+ 42 is just as fast or faster (and I can always root and use that work around if I really wanted to)

If the screen and camera are much better I might pick it up sooner.

I don't see any compelling reason to replace my n4 with an n5. A better camera and a larger battery might help the n5's cause, but the increased size is definitely a negative.

If the optical image stabilization makes the camera noticably better, I probably will. I've been holding out for a phone with a better low light camera. I'll keep the N4 as my back up phone since my Galaxy S3 seems to have finally died.

If I can fix the S3, and the camera isn't much better, then I will just keep waiting.

Will not decide whether to replace N4 with N5 until I see what the N5 offers. One feature that would be valuable enough to me to replace a relatively new N4 would be a phone compatible with all four major carriers in the US, including the various LTE bands. Short of that, I am hesitant to replace the N4, unless there is some killer feature out there that I am not anticipating.

I'm with the undecideds. Biggest factor for me will be battery life; that's the number one shortcoming of the N4 in my book.

I take it the issues people will upgrade for is;
Camera & Battery.

I find LTE as non issue as its limited here, phone is still snappy, my phone lasts a good day and i dont use the camera :)

Don't worry, that snappy Nexus 4 will get KitKat and be even snappier when it does.

I'm definitely buying the Nexus 5! Almost everything about it is a decent upgrade from the Nexus 4. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hmmm.. Im concerned about n5 size. I formated my n4 for the first time since i bought it back in February because it kept restarting while video skyping. Not sure why but i haven't tested the video calling yet after factory reset. N4 is still pretty fast phone considerably faster than my first generation N7 tablet. I think ill switch to N5 if n4 is going to act like N7 in the near future.

I'm very happy with my N4 and I can do everything with it that I want. I also don't need LTE because in my country, Belgium, it's not yet wide enough available and almost everywhere I need internet for much data transfer I've free WiFi. I supose the N5 will be available in my country around next summer, because now the N4 is in my country a half year available. So, I think I'll pass for the N5.

eventually i suppose. Im interested to see the improvements that 4.4 will bring to my N4.

Most likely yes! But as always I will wait for the reviews and customer experience feedback before jumping on it.

Even though I like my Nexus 4, this will more than likely be my last phone with a non-removable battery.

No, at least I am not planning on it. But if something were to happen to my N4 then yes, I'd probably go that route. The good news is that since I bought the N4 and picked up the $30 T-Mobile plan, the price difference has pretty much paid for the current phone. I also wouldn't want to transition until there are covers etc readily available for it.
