When I first received my iPhone 2G nearly three years ago, it was the talk of the town. This was the phone to change the entire smartphone market. Everyone wanted to look at it, hold it, type on it. Apple really did something special. However, if you look around today, every single person has an iPhone. There's nothing "ooh" and "ahh" about it anymore. However, some have called one latest iteration "magical."
With all this fanfare, the time has come for me to switch over to Google and to their Android OS. Finally, I'll be able to make phone calls using Google Voice natively, schedule my appointments with Google Calendar, send out the details to my buddies with Gmail or Google Talk, and read Tweets from Android Central. All this at the same time.
I know what's best for me and I don't need a company telling me I have no idea what I want. I've grown tired with Apple's stranglehold over the market, the OS, and the community. I don't want to have the exact same phone as everyone else out there. I want a phone that will fit my needs and not a phone that tells me what I need.
Google is a company that has improved Android continually and has listened to its userbase for feedback. The jump from the G1 to the Incredible has been nothing short of amazing especially considering the very short timeframe the OS has been around. I have no doubt the Android experience will continue to mature rapidly.
Magical? Better yet, how about Incredible?
