Because I haven't had a dedicated handheld gaming device since the Gameboy Advance SP and the NVIDIA Shield also beats out my current smartphone.

As other dads must know, infants take up a lot of time--I barely have time to play any kind of games. A Shield would let me play some quick rounds of something while I'm holding the sleeping baby. It would greatly help ease my sanity!

I'm the father of 2 awesome little girls (7 and 4). I love them to death and many times give up my phone and tablet to their little hands to play angry birds, minecraft or bad piggies (my 4 year old's favorite). That means I'm often left on the side lines when it comes to playing games (when I do finally get my phone back it needs to be charged).

This Dad would love to finally be able to have something for himself and not fight for some screen time.

Man this would definitely make my year! I feel I should win a shield because I love android central and watch the podcast every week. You guys make this fun and that's what does it for me. Well, I love Android and gaming on Android. It's easier for me to pick up a game for a couple of minutes to play but not get to into it. I've had MMO issues in the past. My girl always gets me shirts and boxers and no matter how hard I drop a hint shebnever really gets it. Still I love her though. So pick me, read your articles all the time and I would really live a shield. Cool contest, as usual. Thanks and good luck to all the dads out there. Ok so here it is. I became a stay at home dad a few months ago. Not only do I watch my daughter I watch my niece AND my nephew. Wanna talk about crazy days? I'm always saying I'm winning dad of the year this year. Hopefully winning this, it would just be the icing on my cake.

I have an infant son and a toddler daughter at home as well as a two hour round trip commute to work everyday. My video gaming time isn't quite what it used to be, and most of the time I'm not the one choosing what we watch on the television. It would be extra fantastic to get some gaming in when my daughter wants to watch Frozen for the eight millionth time. No Anna, I do NOT want to build a snowman.
