I think using smart phones for VR is one of the best ideas, keeps the cost to join low and portability high. Also could bring more VR experiences to be shared, such as using photospheres.
I've been looking forward to a virtual reality experience since I through away my last set of 3D glasses. I never got much of a thrill with 3D movies or TV. This sounds like a thrill.
I'd like to see games such as Ingress make use of VR! Perhaps not all the time, but just in certain situations. This G3 VR would certainly be an upgrade from my Google Cardboard setup.
One thing that excites me the most about the VR headset is because of the fact it's being a "Whole" different ballgame to sight-seeing and compatibility to A smartphone itself. Smartphones themselves are awesome. To the touching to the display, everything about it is awesome. The hardware, extra storage and the G3 it's laser sensor. Oh yesss!!!
The thing that excites me the most about VR is full immersion in videogames. Playing a game like Left 4 Dead or Killing Floor while hacking away at zombies from every direction sounds like a dream (nightmare?) come true.
I would love to see advancements in vr... I had older dot view looking vr games when I was younger and I'm sure these new ones completely blow that out the water lol
Virtual Reality in the palm of your hand is what I look forward to. Imagine being inside a Google Photosphere you or someone else took to experience places. I have some great photospheres of Machu Picchu and old Mayan trails on horseback. To project it from a VR headset from my phone would be an amazing experience for others. Just imagine the possibilities. We live in the future people!
I've never used vr devices but the idea sounds awesome I want one for my drone, but I love smart phones and electronics overall. Getting a new one is like a kid getting that toy he's been drooling over for a month
