I really like the concept of VR using smartphones! All the things like motion sensors, compass and GPS is there already as well as the raw power for quite a few feats. I can't wait to see for myself how far along the technology has come in will develop over the next couple of years!
For a quite new guy in programing for smartphones as myself, this kind of tech would be a nice opprtunity to test apps on the real thing. The thought of all the games my friends and I could create excites me to the point where I can barely sit still!
Looking forward to seeing integration with drones for better immersion with video recording and better point and shoot precision in photogrammetric purposes.
I was at a game of thrones "getting-hyped-for-season 5"-place here in Stockholm where they had virtual reality to let you go on top of "the wall". And I waited in line 3 hours to get in, and about 2 hours to try it. And it was amazing!
You even saw people losing their balance while they were standing there, and you laugh a little. But when you find yourself there, you realise why they were wobbling. But you kept smiling!
I'm looking forward to using VR to see places in the world that I may never be able to go to in person. I would love something like this to enjoy the VR of travel. T mobile baby!
I was amazed by Youtube's recent 360-degrees movies... Adapt it for a VR handset, and hop : It'll feel like visiting a new place without leaving home. Almost as magic as teletransportation.
Im interested in VR gaming and Reality sucks sometimes...... Think of all the people who do mind altering substances to escape reality now look at all the potential customers ;-)
