Question Winamp

Hi. New here.
I am trying to have music on my android phone. I have loved winamp and wanted this. Have downloaded winamp but, I can’t add files and albums. I have a ‘My Playlist #1’. When I click on it I get play and a greyed out shuffle as there are no items in my play list. Clicking on […] only gives me [Edit playlist] and [Delete playlist].

How do I add to the playlist, play, shuffle and repeat?

Also I tried this on my NEW galaxy A33. For some reason samsung have decided to force me to have a 3mm jack to USB converter. I am using my older A40 and have got albumbs in the android music folder.

Looking at the reviews, it doesn't sound like the the Android version is anything like the desktop version, and only has a 2.6 star review. I'm thinking you'll be better off finding a different music player all together, if not use the stock one that came with your phone.

Any recomendations Don't have a stock app only Samsung radio on the A40. Nothing on the A33

Just found VLC media player.

I have only used stock players. I'm surprised yours don't have one since they are Samsung, but then again I've never personally used a Samsung phone.

Referring to many previous posts, most members prefer Poweramp.
I've used it for years and tried many others but Poweramp is far superior.
There is a free version but the paid for one is only a one off payment of about £6

For your Galaxy A33, the Samsung Store has their free music app. It has several options for sorting & categorizing. It's easy to make playlists.

Since it's free, it might be worth checking out.

Neve heard of the galaxy store. I was looking at installed apps that came with it. How do you get to the samsung store?

Samsung renamed the Galaxy Store icon on our phones to just 'Store'.

Usually you can find it in the Samsung folder on the apps screen.



You can also go to the search function on your phone & search for 'Store'.


You may have to be logged into your Samsung account for it to work.

I don't have the store app in the samsung collection folder. I have downloaded it though. VLC is quite a good player so will use this. Thanks.

I have used VLC before & it worked pretty well.

I concur. VLC is also great on desktop computers. I use it for Windows and Linux.
