Winning must read

oh ok i dont recall the TB call issue but then again iv never owned one. Im really interested in how the radioshack rep actiavted this. The system Verizon uses is called EROES and i thought i could pull a fast one and activate one on my account but it kept kicking me out

I wish I could tell you, all I know is he couldn't get it to work at first so he called customer care don't know what they did but it still didn't activate, that's when I told him about the 4 g sim and then he tried and it went thru.

Since you have the Charge, would you be willing to get some info from it for me? I'm looking to maybe get CWM setup as well as info about the kernel/recovery.

What would you need, long as its not ti tech. Im still noobish

Can you send me this file: /system/etc/install-recovery.sh

And also, can you hook your phone up via adb and run the following and send me the output:
Code:
adb shell ls /dev/block

Thanks :)

I stopped into the local Verizon store tonight and met up with the store manager (he sold me my XOOM and ThunderBolt). He had the demo unit out on the floor earlier today and was told to remove it, again. He did bring it the demo unit and powered it up, first its incredibly light, lighter than my backup LG XV8630 flip phone and the display is GORGEOUS, I mean seriously its just SICK!!!!.

The one thing I couldn't tell and was hoping to hear was how much actual internal storage space do we get? The demo had only 1.04GB available out of 2GB and I know that can't be right, he even commented since it was a demo it likely is off from what you really get.

But the phones are sitting in store stock and he would have been glad to sell me one, but he can't until its authorized. Still I'M SOLD.

I'm going to guess that info is correct. I don't think the hardware is to dissimilar from the Fascinate, and I currently have 1.25GB free.

I think I remember reading somewhere that it would only have 2GB internal. It does have a 32GB SD card, so that may be an attempt to make up for it. A single-core A8 processor, half a gig of RAM, and 2GB internal storage is a hard sell at $300, but with that screen and LTE, its still a great device. Certainly better than any other LTE handset that's likely to release in the near future (unless Moto works faster than anyone thought).

2gb is correct. But with the other 32gb thats more than enough for me, besides i keep all my music in the iphone 4, thats what its good for. It feels light as a feather, i took it off the charger about 1130 am being on and off net watched half of megamind(looks like a bluray on this screen) and as if now im down to 39% with the thunderbolt thats from just powering it on lol

Don't forget a battery that will last you over 24 hours with moderate usage.

It is a hard-sell with those specs. BUT, you're essentially getting half a Galaxy SII for that price. (Screen and camera)

I've come to accept that if you want LTE now, you're going to have to accept a slightly lower-spec device. No worries though; dual-cores aren't completely useful right now (even though they're fast as hell), and I can always upgrade at full price later.

Well, tried activating the Charge today again to no avail. Called Verizon customer support to have it activated and they said they couldn't activate it before Verizon's release date, and didn't know how I even got the phone to begin with.
