Wired charging problems

I have s6e with vzw, today it wouldn't charge (wired) so I restarted it and it was fine, but then as i was charging the phone would beep, the charge would start and stop and start and stop, anyone have his problem or a possible solution?

Are you using the wall charger plugged into an AC outlet, or are you plugging the device into a USB port on your computer?

Have you tried another USB cable? Have you tried a different outlet? I know it sounds like a silly question, but does this outlet always have power, or is it controlled by a switch?
