Wired earbuds recommendations

I saw you say you are concerned about the sound via bluetooth. If that's the case it sounds like you're starting to look into audiophile grade stuff which means you will have to make a choice as to what's more important, sound quality, or android controls. If you are looking for sound quality, can you give me an idea what type of music you like and do you know what type of sound signature you prefer? Also, what price range, would you consider something at the $350 price point if the sound quality was there?

Way out of my price point. My interest is the best bang for the buck, and what I've learned is that Bluetooth compresses music. And a wired set is not a deal-breaker, so that's why I'm looking at wired phones with maybe an app that gives me the controls I need. Currently, I'm using my Klipsch S4's which have no volume control I would like to have as when I ride my bike my phone is in my pocket. (BTW, also running Strava GPS for tracking, recommended) Phone capability, I'm "OK" without it. I would like the music control like I had with my Iphone.

Bluebud X / Details & Specs

The bluebuds x came in and all I can say is wow, they sound good. Connected without a problem, Took me a bit to fit the band to the back so it wouldn't hang down but it now fits. Comes with everything you need to to make it work for you. Nice little carrying case, usb micro charger, plug for wall etc. I tried with Pandora and there is a lot of bass for bluetooth. Not over powering but really good. Fit is good but you make it fit you. Controls for phone, music google voice etc. Pairing was simple. Will try more tomorrow.

I kind of shied away from these after reading reviews that had concerns regarding range. Can you put your phone in your pants pocket and still have good reception? And do volume controls work? More info after you play with them awhile would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I went on my hike and played Pandora the whole time. I had it running as well as a app called Endomondo. I did not have a chance to go back on a song because I used Pandora. I don't have any dled music on my phone. I imagine it would work the same though. I use Pandora and Sirius. The volume up button and volume down work just fine. I had the phone in my pocket almost the whole time. To forward the song press and hold the volume up button for 2 seconds. The range is about 30 to 40 feet. I did this by accident. I was doing some training with my dogs and making them stay and was walking backwards when the music started to get staticky (if thats a word). So I walked back to it and picked up and continued on. I did not receive a phone call while having it on today. Hope this helps.

On another note altogether, I was in Barnes and Noble and was playing with the Nook HD. Got a text and the sales lady says, "is that the ipad mini" :) lol. I said it was a Galaxy Note 2. She says, wow that a big phone!
