Wirefly/Amazon and Galaxy S III orders

Hey,

Has anyone ordered service and a Galaxy S III through Wirefly or Amazon?
Also, has anyone switched from another carrier in the process?

The reason I ask is, Amazon's estimated delivery date on the S III was August 30th, when I tried to buy last night. Really, ~40+ days?

Also, Wirefly said nothing about a long wait, but did say that when you switch service, your number (from your previous carrier) will be ported a day after the estimate delivery date. This worries me because what if the phone is held at Fed Ex, and I can't make it to Fed Ex the following day? Then I have no cell service for that day (and possibly more)..

Just want to hear peoples' experiences with ordering the S III and/or in general with Wirefly or Amazon.

All I will say is you need to read the fine print when using Amazon Wireless and/or Wirefly. They will impose restrictions on top of what Verizon does. The norm is no changes to your account within the first 180 days or else they'll pound you with a fee.
