messaging and texting is huge part of having a super phone like the TB?

I wonder if video chat comes under messaging? I would think it would fall
under the data category?

all you really need is unlimited data. i don't see anything wrong with going with $40 plan + $30 data. super phone has nothing to do with amount of texting you are doing imo.
but anyway, i'm having same problem as some others here that $40 plan won't show up. cheapest plan i'm seeing includes unlimited texting which i really don't want. and it's $60.

It defaults to the $60 plan, but just click "see all plans" next to the Verizon logo

i did. it still only shows $60 as cheapest.
i've done some surfing around, and it seems that if you are "upgrading" current line, they won't give you $40 plan as a choice. but if you are doing a completely new contract, then they give you $40 plan. which is kinda weird..

Yeah that appears to be the case so I won't be ordering through them.

So you say... you are not going to text? or take and send pictures from your TB? I think 99.9% of the people here uses text messaging or
use their messaging services to send photos, etc?

My Evo has the same 8MP camera and I can tell you it takes sweet pictures!
and I love to share them when ever I can.

I mean why have a Superphone like the TB if your not going to use some of
it's main features?

I only need 250 texts per/mo and i never go over those. and its only $5 per/mo. and why not share your pics via facebook or anyother blogs for that matter. that won't use up your text, and only data. but then again, everyone has their own needs.
And not trying to prove you wrong or anything, but i wouldn't call 8mp camera a "main feature" of TB. TB's strong points are 4g network and sense UI. Most of TB's main features involve using up data.. not text.

I re checked the 40 dollar plan. I might be mistaken?
But I do not see 250 free texts with that plan?

An 8MP camera with HD video capability not a main feature?
and a front facing 1.3MP to boot?

Wirefly does not charge Tax.. that could be a big savings if Verizon charges tax on the full retail price.

More like you HAVE to get unlimited texting (assuming you're just using an upgrade).

Thats only if your starting a new contract. I'm already on a family plan
