Does anyone know if there is a performance difference between using the OEM Samsung charger base and wireless charging cover, vs using an aftermarket solution? For example, do they charge faster, stay cooler, etc.. I'm trying to decide whether to spend the extra $$ on the Samsung parts. Thanks!

IMO the extra bucks for OEM versus something cheaper is to make "you feel good". You must have got "the best".

My el cheapo at $18.99 when connected to the OEM 2.1 amp Samsung a/c charger module charges as fast as a wireless charger can. It goes from 50% to 100% on 90 minutes.

On USB a 2.1 amp charger will go from 10% to 100% in 90 minutes.

I can wait on the wireless mode at $18.99

I fall asleep in front of the Tv anyway.

This one needs a tiny bit of extra thickness overlaying the charging contacts. Not the whole wafer, just the contact area.

It works every time...
If Battery Doctor screen is up, it will start charging almost instantly.

If no screen is up and the phone is 'asleep', it might take several minutes.

I didn't know about these Wireless Charging kits so that's why I ordered the Samsung.

I'm using it with my Nillkin Charging Orb, I keep forgetting to time it but It does get warm after a full charge. I thought about buying the Samsung Charging Base but instead I bought the Samsung Extra Battery Kit instead since I had $20 off coupon with Wireless Wave.
