Wireless charging sound & Moto Assitst

The latest KitKat update finally fixed the annoying and previously unmutable Wireless Charging Notification. Now, wireless charging notification abides by the current sound profile of the phone: when a phone is in silent - no audible wireless charging notification occurs. Also, Moto Assist Sleeping activity is also fixed and successfully reverts the phone from muted to ringer when the activity ends.

Agreed - it would be great if you could pick a tone or shut it off completely!

I am surprised you can't. I will be picking up the wireless phone charger soon. So much more convenient.

If you're rooted, you can replace the wireless charging sound files with a silent Ogg Vorbis file.

Just search the system/media/ directory for files with wireless charging in the title. Download a silent .ogg file to the same directory. Change the extension on the wireless charging file to .bak and rename silent.ogg to the former name of your backup file.
